Across Europe, the same social phenomenon continues, as the political pendulum swings (or swings) to the right, in favor of various segments of conservatives, nationalists, and right-wing populists.
Uncontrolled mass immigration, crippling environmental policies and a general decline in living standards have pushed voters to the edge, and they have begun “voting with their money,” rejecting the liberal/globalist agenda and its disastrous policies.

Nowhere has this geopolitical shift caused greater alarm and alarm in the Netherlands, where Geert Wilders, the bad guy of the mainstream media, was the big winner in the November election.

In order to reach an agreement with the parties necessary to form his coalition and finally choose him as the new prime minister, Wilders made a major concession in an unexpected practical move.
He is withdrawing legislation he proposed in 2018 that “calls for a ban on mosques and the Quran.”
The Associated Press reported:
This move came a day before the resumption of talks to form the next government after the November elections. Abandoning the bill could be crucial in gaining the trust and support of three other major parties that Wilders wants to include in a coalition with his Party for Freedom, known by its Dutch acronym PVV.
One of those party leaders, Peter Omtzgut of the reformist New Social Contract party, has expressed concerns that some of Wilders' policies violate the Dutch constitution, which enshrines freedoms, including freedom of religion.

During a debate in Parliament, Wilders indicated a softening of his previous position.
“Sometimes I will have to withdraw proposals, and I will do that,” Wilders said in the debate. “I will show the Netherlands, the legislature, Mr Umzigt’s party – anyone who wants to hear it – that we will adapt our rules to the constitution and bring our proposals in line with it.”

Wilders resumed coalition talks today (9).
“Among three pieces of legislation repealed by Wilders’ Party for Freedom was legislation dating back to 2018 that proposed banning ‘Islamic expressions.’ The text of the bill describes Islam as a ‘violent and totalitarian ideology’ and proposes banning mosques, the Qur’an, Islamic schools and the wearing of the burqa and niqab.
The Dutch Council of State, an independent oversight body that evaluates legislation, had previously called on Wilders to abandon the proposed ban on Islam as “incompatible with the democratic constitutional state.”
