OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Tuesday remains the 1st Weather Alert Day 6. While the snow will end by 10 a.m., gusty north winds and freezing temperatures will bring snowfall and bitter cold air flow.

The snow will taper off this morning with light snow possible as late as 10 a.m. for most of us, especially viewers in Iowa. An additional 1-2 inches of snow will be the upper limit of today's snow total in the 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. window before it ends. It will be difficult to shake off the clouds the rest of the day.

Northerly winds gusting to 45 mph will be the strongest in the area this morning before tapering off a bit this afternoon into the evening.

Another round of light, intermittent snow is possible again Wednesday afternoon as we get cut off by a system that heads mostly to the north. It should amount to much of anything though. Then we watch late Thursday night for another round of snow to move in. Check back for more on that later today.
