Queensland jockey Emily Pomfret, who was seriously injured, has been transferred to a private hospital to receive the best in elite healthcare while her road to recovery continues.
Pomfret's partner Luke Miller said the jockey, who was seriously injured after a horse flipped over at the Gatton Races last Thursday, continued to make good progress after waking from an induced coma.
Pomfret's memory returns but she remains tired and groggy.

“She still isn't walking on her own, but she can sit up on her own several times a day. She needs a lot of rest but she's doing well,” Miller said.
“Her memory is slowly coming back with PTA (post-traumatic amnesia) and her speech and vision are returning to normal although she is still very disoriented at times.
“The occupational therapist was pleased with the progress she had made but she still had a long way to go.”
Pomfret was cleared of any fractures or damage to his spine.
At the weekend, her father, Trevor Bartlett, described the shocking incident as one of the scariest moments of his life.
He told The Courier-Mail: “You always think the worst because she hit the ground hard and wasn't moving. She was having mini-seizures, it was very scary.”
“M had no hope of getting off [the horse] …It all happened so fast.
