The Clinton Library quickly deleted a photo of Bill Clinton sending his first-ever email, as the former president was mired in controversy over the Jeffrey Epstein files.

It seemed harmless enough, at least that's what the people behind the Clinton X Library account were thinking.

In fact, someone at the Clinton Presidential Center sent out a social media post celebrating the “first email ever” sent by former President Bill Clinton.

“On November 7, 1998, Pres. [Bill Clinton] He wrote and sent his first ever email! They wrote. “Can you guess who it was?”

    The post on

But the Clinton Library quickly regretted asking users to guess the identity of the email recipient on that day 25 years ago.

Clinton photo deleted by Clinton library after flood of Jeffrey Epstein responses

The Clinton Library message might have gone completely unnoticed on X, if not for the extremely bad timing in their post. The timing coincides with Clinton's name being repeatedly mentioned in the latest releases of the Jeffrey Epstein documents.

You know, the one in which lawyers for one of the victims of the late billionaire pedophile described the former president as a “key person” in determining the relationship between Epstein and his mistress, Ghislaine Maxwell.

The one shows another woman who claimed Epstein sexually assaulted her, saying in testimony that the financier said “Clinton likes them when they're little, referring to girls.”

The one in which another Epstein accuser claimed there were actual sex tapes of Clinton.

God, I hope there are tapes. However, there is no evidence of the tapes in question, and the person who made the claim later retracted it.

However, X users had a field day guessing who received the first email Clinton ever sent, with the vast majority naturally responding by mentioning Epstein's name.

“Dear Jeffrey Epstein, I love them when they’re young,” Chaya Raychik, creator of Libs of TikTok, wrote.

Clinton's library initially limited responses to her post, but eventually deleted it faster than you can say, “Epstein didn't kill himself,” Fox News reported.

    Who was the email for?

For those curious about the answer to the Clinton Library letter – Clinton's “first email” as president was addressed to the late Senator John Glenn.

In 1998, when he was 77, Glenn flew on the STS-95 mission of the Space Shuttle Discovery. Glenn was a NASA astronaut in the 1960s, becoming the third American in space, and the first American to orbit the Earth, which he did three times.

“Hillary and I had a great time at the launch,” Clinton said in response to an email from Glenn. “We are so proud of you and the whole crew, and a little jealous.”

The Clinton White House Archives state that Clinton “became the first president in history to have a public email address” in 1993.

Hillary Clinton also later had some notable accomplishments regarding emails.

The former president's aides confirm that Clinton did not have a close relationship with Epstein, and that he was not aware of his criminal activity.

Epstein was convicted of procuring a girl under 18 for prostitution in 2008, and was facing sex trafficking charges until he died by suicide in a Manhattan jail cell in 2019.
