Whoopi Goldberg has broken her silence to address rumors that she was on Jeffrey Epstein's notorious list.
Goldberg denies his relationship with Epstein
During last Thursday's episode of her talk show “The View” on ABC, Goldberg dismissed “crazy” rumors that she was linked to the late billionaire Epstein.
“Apparently they said I was on an island, and I was like, ‘I'm not going anywhere,'” Goldberg said. “So I'll just say — there's been a lot of things lately, I don't know what I've done to anyone — but it seems like there's a lot of Sites that are satirical and people don't realize that they can be harmful.
“I've never been kicked out of a Gordon Ramsay restaurant,” she added. “I've never been fired from Guy Fieri's restaurant. I've never been fired from Bill Maher's show. I've never gotten into a fight with Oprah backstage here on The View. I mean it's going well — it's crazy. It goes on and on and on.”'
Goldberg concluded her denial by claiming that she was a straight person.
“Come back to me,” she said. “Don't believe it unless I tell you about me. You'll know if I'm doing something. I'll tell you! I have nothing to hide. I don't care what people think. If I like doing it, I'll tell you.”
“But if they tell you Oprah was backstage and you didn't see her on the show…that's crazy!” Goldberg concluded. “And you know I'm not going anywhere! Unless I tell you I'm going somewhere. Yeah? Are we good?”

Jimmy Kimmel's denial of Epstein
Yahoo News reported that other celebrities who found themselves on Epstein's list include Leonardo DiCaprio, Cameron Diaz and Cate Blanchett. Liberal late night host Jimmy Kimmel issued a strident denial after NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers suggested his name might be on the list.
“Dear Aasshole: For the record, I have never met, traveled with, visited, or had any contact with Epstein, and you will not find my name on any “list” other than the patently false nonsense said by soft-minded idiots,” Kimmel wrote on the social media platform X, which was Formerly known as Twitter: “Like you are indistinguishable from reality.”
He added: “Your reckless words put my family in danger.” “Go ahead and we will discuss the facts further in court.”

Bill Clinton is on Epstein's list
This list stems from a now-settled defamation lawsuit filed in 2015 by Virginia Roberts Giuffre, who accused British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell of enabling Epstein to abuse her, CBS News reported. Maxwell is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence for her role in the crimes of Epstein, who allegedly committed suicide while awaiting trial in August of 2019.
One of the most prominent names on the list is former President Bill Clinton, whom one of the accused described as a “good friend” of Epstein. Clinton even appeared in the manifests for Epstein's private jet, on which he said he made four trips “in connection with the work of the Clinton Foundation.”
Goldberg's vehement denial of his association with Epstein shows how paranoid some very powerful people are about this right now. What do you think of Epstein's list? Let us know in the comments section.
