Developing a storm system to keep the central United States saturated with moisture
A storm system developing in the Southwest is bringing days of rain and snow to the central United States and starting today in places like Colorado, New Mexico, Texas and Oklahoma. Wet weather will slowly move east through the rest of the week, bringing a minimal flash flood threat across much of Texas.
A day-long flood threat begins in Florida
Parts of Florida face the threat of flooding every day for the rest of the week. A cold front parked off the coast of South Florida will produce rain for the rest of the week before a much larger storm system moves across more of the state this weekend.
The chances of a white Christmas are dwindling
Snow-covered hills are likely to be few and far between this holiday season, as warm air appears to be the dominant feature of American weather over Christmas.
