The liberal Washington Post is in tough shape and shows no signs of recovery any time soon.
The newspaper reportedly loses up to $100 million a year and has lost more than half its online engagement. Like many media outlets, it thrived during the Trump years, but Biden is not good for business.
Their main problem is the same as late night television. It has become so predictable. Who wants to be paid to read the same anti-Trump angle over and over again? Everything is framed to cater to the views of the far left.
Red State reports:
The Washington Post is in massive collapse
Is The Washington Post in full-scale collapse? A recent look at the numbers provides a fairly convincing answer to this question.
According to the report, not only is the Washington Post losing $100 million a year, it has lost more than half its online engagement by the end of 2023. The signs were already there by mid-year, and the worst had happened.
The presence of a billionaire sugar daddy has helped mask some of the problems plaguing The Washington Post, but the tide can only be held back for so long. Losing more than 50 percent of your online viewership is disastrous for an outlet with such high overhead costs. Subscriber numbers have also declined significantly throughout the Biden administration.
Would anyone really miss them if they were gone?
“In addition to eroding subscribers and losing $100 million a year, The Washington Post is also failing to attract audiences. Four years ago, the newspaper was receiving 139 million visitors a month. By the end of last year, it was less than 60 million.” https://t.co/ RlZXZ49nds

There are a lot of critics @elonmusk Who keep assuming that Twitter/X is collapsing, but engagement is *rising* here. There hasn't been much comment on Bezos destroying WaPo. I wonder why.*

Yay!!! I hope everyone involved has a little less downtime in their lives and that no one ever lets them near a keyboard again. https://t.co/DBq2XxMcCF

People are tired of their same old leftist attitudes to everything. In the age of the Internet, there are so many more interesting options for media. The Washington Post is a dinosaur.
