Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis' campaign kicked out independent journalist and controversial conservative Laura Loomer from their event in Iowa on Saturday night — and called the police on her.
Nikki Haley's campaign did the same when Loomer showed up to their event earlier in the day.
Loomer posted a video on the X platform, formerly known as Twitter, shortly after the incident.
“Ron DeSantis called the cops and told me to get off his campaign trail in Iowa tonight even though I have a ticket!” Lemire wrote.
broke down:
Ron DeSantis called the cops on me and asked me to be removed from his campaign event in Iowa tonight even though I have a ticket!
I have just been removed from @rondisantisA presidential campaign event in Ankeny, Iowa and being threatened with arrest by a police officer even… pic.twitter.com/4jIehE83UX

Loomer continued, “I was just removed from the @RonDeSantis presidential campaign event in Ankeny, Iowa and a police officer threatened me with arrest even though I had a ticket. I called the restaurant called 'Who's On 1st' in advance and they confirmed the restaurant was open to the public upstairs, but… @RonDeSantis called the cops on me because he didn't want me to ask him, @chiproytx, @RepThomasMassie and @bobvanderplaats question why @RonDeSantis says the J6ers are not patriots, and why he allowed Capitol Police to have an office in Tampa, FL to go after Trump supporters.
She added: “I was told that if I return, I will be taken to prison.”
“You know who's not 'in first place'? @RonDeSantis, because he's not in first place in Iowa, and doesn't support the First Amendment! How ridiculous!” Loomer quipped.
Loomer had the same experience at the Halley event earlier in the day.
She had tickets to attend and was causing no trouble when she was approached by two police officers and a member of Haley's campaign.
“@NikkiHaley just called the police and asked to be escorted out of city hall in Iowa. “I was literally standing and her staff let me into the event after they sent me a confirmation for my ticket,” Loomer posted on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, along with a video of the incident.

The pro-Trump journalist continued:[Haley] She wants to be president and talks a lot about how she'll use her heels to put dictators in their place, but she's so excited about my presence, she has two cops pull me out of her event.
“How does Nikki Haley plan to deal with Putin and Xi if she can't even deal with Laura Loomer?” The post continued.
“It is clear that Nikki Haley does not support free speech,” Loomer added. “For someone who likes to pretend to be anti-dictator, he sure is acting like a dictator by using police to keep women out of her events. Way to enforce the concept of an armed government on the third anniversary of January 6, Nikki!”
I had tickets for @Nikki HaleyIt happened today. Her staff let me into her Iowa town hall and asked if I wanted to sign up to volunteer for her campaign. It's not like I snuck in.
I got the tickets after I received a text from Nikki Haley's campaign saying… https://t.co/yEeKwmaltu pic.twitter.com/8UbMtpdQdG

Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy commented on the incident, writing: “If Nikki Haley can't speak to the people who challenge her here in the United States, then she has no right to represent our country abroad – period.”

Loomer attended a campaign event for former President Donald Trump in the afternoon without problems.
Unfortunately for these anti-Trump candidates, Loomer will be in Iowa all week.
