    Jefferson County, Pennsylvania (EYT) -Winter weather warnings remain in effect for Jefferson County and surrounding areas. Mixed rain and up to five inches of snow are expected.     The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh issued the following breaking winter weather message at 3:43 a.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2024:

    For the following provinces:

    Venango-Forrest-Butler-Clarion-Jefferson Pennsylvania-Armstrong-Westmoreland-Indiana-

    Including the following cities:

    Including the cities of Oil City, Brockville, Lower Burrell, Clarion, Indiana, Morrisville, Monessen, Punxsutawney, Greensburg, Franklin, Butler, Latrobe, New Kensington, Kittanning, Tionesta, and Ford City.
    343 AM EST Saturday, January 6, 2024

    …Winter Weather Advisories remain in effect from 7 AM this morning until 10 PM EST this evening…

    * What… Mixed rain is expected. Total snow accumulations range between 3 and 5 inches.

    *Where…parts of northwestern and western Pennsylvania.

    *When…from 7am this morning to 10pm EST this evening.

    * Impacts…plan for slippery road conditions.

    Precautionary/preparedness measures…

    Slow down and be careful while traveling. The latest road conditions can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.
