On the January 5 episode of SmackDown, Butch needed a partner against Pretty Deadly. He had help from Tyler Bate, as the two faced Pretty Deadly in a tag team match.
Tyler Bate played a crucial role in securing victory for his friend by nailing a Tyler Driver double. Many fans wondered if Tyler Bate's SmackDown debut was a one-time appearance or a permanent event.
WWE uploaded a video of Tyler Bate after the match, with the former NXT UK Champion confirming that he will be a permanent member of Friday Night SmackDown from now on.

Bate's official profile on WWE.com has now been updated to list him as a SmackDown Superstar as well. We'll have to wait and see how Tyler Bate is booked, now that he's officially a major star on the roster.
