    The North Carolina Department of Transportation is preparing roads for winter weather

    You may have seen them on Friday. North Carolina Department of Transportation crews have begun salting the road and preparing the road for the possibility of snow or ice. Crews started working as early as 4 a.m. Friday, NCDOT's John Ryan said. He called on drivers to drive slowly and carefully.
