Louisiana Republican Gov.-elect Jeff Landry's inauguration has been moved forward one day to Sunday due to inclement weather forecast for the inauguration originally scheduled for Monday, but the inauguration will remain Monday night.

Landry's team said the inauguration ceremony will be held at 4:30 p.m. Sunday on the steps of the state Capitol. It was scheduled for Monday at 11:30 a.m.

Although Landry will be sworn in on Sunday, he will not officially become governor until Monday afternoon. There is an 80% chance of rain on Monday.

The opening ceremony will be held at the Rising Canes River Center on Monday night.

Landry will be the 57th Governor of Louisiana, replacing current Democratic Governor John Bel Edwards, who served two terms in office.
