The Golden Lion, from Martinique, traveled 8,000 miles round trip but lost 12-0 to Lille in the Coupe de France.
The small Caribbean island team is able to play in the competition because teams from a variety of French overseas territories are allowed to compete in it.
As a result, they headed to Lille hoping to cause an upset against the Ligue 1 giants in the round of 64.
But the hosts easily won, with two players scoring hat-tricks.
Canadian striker Jonathan David and Idon Zegrova scored half of Lille's ten goals, while Yusuf Yazgi and Haakon Arnar Haraldsson each scored two goals.
Thiago Santos and Amin Messousa also scored two goals in a match in which Lille had 37 shots on goal, compared to only one for the Golden Lion.
