These statements came in response to Danny Danon, a member of the Israeli Knesset, who claimed that “the world is already discussing the possibilities of voluntary immigration.”

The far-right Religious Zionism and Otzma Yehudit parties, led by Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, expressed their support.

Supporters of immigration emerged from Netanyahu's Likud Party.

Intelligence Minister Gila Gamliel said: Zman Israel “Voluntary migration is the best and most realistic program for the day after the end of the fighting,” he said on Tuesday.

Gamliel said during a conference in the Knesset that at the end of the war, Hamas's rule would collapse, leaving the population “completely dependent” on humanitarian aid.

She said: “The Gaza problem is not only our problem. “The world must support humanitarian migration because this is the only solution I know of.”

The international community, including the United States, has rejected the possibility of expelling Gaza's residents.

In response to American criticism of the proposal to transfer Gaza residents, Ben Gvir said: “The United States is our best friend, but first and foremost we will do what is best for the State of Israel: the migration of hundreds of thousands from Gaza will be allowed to [Israeli] The residents of the envelope will return to their homes, live in safety and be protected by the IDF [Israel] Soldiers.”

France condemned the calls for Gazans to emigrate so that Jewish settlers can return.

The French Foreign Ministry said, “France condemns the statements of Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir.”

He added: “We call on Israel to refrain from such provocative statements, which are considered irresponsible and inflame tensions.”
