Maybe one day leftists will learn not to pick a fight with X's owner, Elon Musk, because they always end up on the losing end. Mark Cuban, the anti-Trump owner of the Dallas Mavericks, became the latest victim of the world's richest man on Thursday.
At issue has been diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies, of which Musk is a vocal opponent. DEI disavows meritocracy and instead discriminates on the basis of race and religion.
As billionaire Bill Ackman brilliantly pointed out, a person's degree of persecution under DEI is determined by where a person resides on the “intersecting” pyramid. Whites, Jews, and Asians are considered oppressed, and a subset of people of color, LGBT people, and women are considered oppressed.
“DEI is racist because reverse racism is racism, even if it is against white people,” he concluded.
The rift between Cuban and Musk began after Musk responded to liberal activist Ed Krasenstein, who had disagreements with the owner of X over whether DEI was racist.
Discriminating based on race, which is what DEI does, is literally the definition of racism

Cuban saw this exchange and decided he would try to “educate” Musk about how “cool” DEI is in a long, meaningless topic.
Let me help you and give you my thoughts on DEI
1. Diversity
Good companies look where others won't, to find employees who will put your business in the best possible position to succeed.
You may not agree with this, but I take it for granted that there are people of different types… https://t.co/L00fl6ggUD– Mark Cuban (@mccuban) January 3, 2024
2. Property rights
Treating people equally does not mean treating them equally.
I made the mistake for many years thinking it had happened.Fairness is the basic principle of business.
Put your employees in a position to succeed. Recognizing their differences and playing to their strengths as…– Mark Cuban (@mccuban) January 3, 2024
3. Inclusion
One of my favorite sayings is, “Great employees reduce the stress of those around them.”Great companies create environments that reduce unnecessary stress on their employees (I'm not talking about hitting quotas or taking product out of the house),…

5. So what is the conclusion?
If you don't think DEI is needed and it doesn't create a competitive advantage for your company, just take a look at @x Posts/replies/quotes below. These are the same people who work for you or are your coworkers. Every person is…

Musk responded with a great one-sentence question regarding whether these DEI policies would apply to the basketball court.
Great, so when should we expect to see a white/Asian shortstop on the Mavs?
What makes Musk's response great is that he exposes Cuban's hypocrisy and DEI's fraud in just a few words. First, anyone with brain cells knows that a shortstop of any race will be destroyed on the basketball court because she lacks the skills necessary to succeed.
The Cuban in his heart knows it and the Mavericks' current roster proves it. Sports are considered one of the last vestiges of true meritocracy in America, because coaches and players of all races are held accountable for non-performance.
If Cuban followed DEI principles to a tee, the Mavericks would never win a basketball game. Thus, the owner's commitment to these practices is nothing more than worthless virtue signaling.
X users sided with Musk in a series of hilarious responses.

“We can't do that, Elon. The NBA is for the best basketball players in the world. In order to be competitive, we have to have the best possible players on our team. It just so happens that tall, athletic guys are the best…”

Cuban has yet to respond to Musk's burning and would be wise to remain silent.
