Alerts
A red alert remains in place until late Saturday into Sunday due to the threat of a major winter storm
Climate prediction
today: A few gusts in the area, then turning to winds later. Highs in the mid 40s.
Tonight: Windy and cold. Lows in the 20s, with some teens to the north and west. Teen fart values for everyone.
Friday: Bright skies, but brisk and breezy. Highs are in the mid to upper 30s.
Weekend storm
Many aspects of this storm, including the track, have been difficult to decipher, but it is now certain that a major winter storm will impact the area from Saturday afternoon into Sunday. While areas north and west of the city will see burnable snow, totaling about a foot, the city and areas to the south and east may see only rain or a wintry mix with minimal snow totals. This storm is also likely to be accompanied by gusty winds, especially on the coast, and coastal flooding.
