It was a difficult Christmas break for ultra-liberal comedian Kathy Griffin, as she filed for divorce from her husband of nearly four years, Randy Pak, who is 18 years her junior. Now the truth behind their bitter divorce has emerged.
The truth behind Gibson's divorce
Griffin, 63, cited “irreconcilable differences” when she filed for divorce from Beck, a 45-year-old marketing executive, last Thursday in Los Angeles Superior Court, citing their separation date as Dec. 22. This came nearly four years after they got married on New Year's Day 2020. Sources close to Griffin say she felt she had no other choice but to file for divorce after “breaking up” with Beck.
An insider told the Daily Mail: “Kathy was in love and is still in love with her ex-husband, and since she is heartbroken by the way it all turned out, Kathy is loving living life.”
“She always wants to have fun. She wants to travel and do things with a man she loves and has the same aspirations,” the source continued. “Kathy is just over 60 but still feels like she's in her 30s and wants to enjoy life and has a fun and focused outlook on life,” he shared. “Randy that.”
“Lately, Randy has been more content with being a homebody, and instead of growing together, they've started growing apart,” the insider added. “Kathy hates that it ended this way, but she needed to be Kathy again, and this was the only way she was going to get there.”

Griffin's history with Beck
Griffin met Beck at a food and wine festival in 2011, and their 2020 wedding was officiated by “Grace & Frankie” star Lily Tomlin. Watch their wedding for yourself in the video below.
Griffin previously told People Magazine in 2016 that she thought Beck was a “guy” when she first met him.
“Well, you know I didn't think this would last [because] He's 18 years younger than me! Griffin added at the time. “We've been together for five years now, and we've had a great time, and he's very nice and very humble. He's like a regular guy, you know, he's like a real guy. He's not like a Hollywood guy.”

Beck was Griffin's manager
In June of last year, Griffin played a sold-out show in Las Vegas, Nevada, her first in five years.
“Guys, I'm so grateful for this audience. I still can't get over this. My first show in five long years! I don't have an agent, manager or publicist anymore,” she wrote on Instagram at the time. My husband is my tour manager and I negotiated the deal myself.
“No agreement has been reached for a special or live broadcast, but the show is sold out due to real, live people appearing!” she added. “After an international political scandal and surviving lung cancer, I finally felt at home.”
The “international political scandal” Griffin is referring to is the infamous 2017 photo shoot she took part in in which she posed with a mock-up of the severed head of then-President Donald Trump. In the years since, Griffin has been unable to stop talking about the scandal, complaining about the backlash she received for it seemingly any chance she gets.
It's hard to imagine why anyone would want to marry someone like Griffin. In the end, Beck would probably be better off without her, just like the rest of us!
