Temperatures rise with the beginning of the work week
It will be a warm start to the work week, with many across the South and Plains at risk of breaking temperature records.
More than 200 million Americans will see above-average temperatures, with warmth exceeding the central United States on Monday, and more people will feel the heat on Tuesday.
A series of storms dampen the northeastern Great Lakes region
A series of storms will threaten the Great Lakes region and Northeast with strong winds, rain and even some rain snow.
The Fox Forecast Center said the storms would explode Green Bay to Detroit With rain falling in the morning and evening on Monday. This storm will hit the interior of the Northeast and cities of New York during Presque IsleMaine, for driving Tuesday morning.
A good chance to see the Northern Lights this week in the northern United States
A series of geomagnetic disturbances that have left the sun pointing toward Earth in recent days could give some residents in the Northern Hemisphere an aurora-like light show over the next week.
After issuing a strong geomagnetic storm warning on Sunday, space weather forecasters are predicting similar conditions this week, with impacts continuing into Friday evening.
