On Tuesday, January 2, GOT7's Bambam co-hosted the 33rd Seoul Music Awards with Lee Seung Gi, Tiffany Young, and fellow group member Youngjae. While his fans and many other netizens loved seeing him play the MC, the idol seemed unhappy with the experience. After the award ceremony ended, many netizens who attended the event admitted that many unfortunate incidents occurred due to poor management and organization.
Unexpectedly, BamBam was seen talking about the event's lack of proper management and poor sound system. Shortly after the conclusion of the 33rd Seoul Music Awards, the idol took to his account X and shared his unpleasant experience working as an MC for the event. He expressed that these organizers are using K-Pop idols for fame and that he is unlikely to attend another award show.
I read one of X's posts about his experience,
Fans praise GOT7's BamBam as he exposes the mismanagement and organization of the 33rd Seoul Music Awards.
When the 33rd Seoul Music Awards kicked off, fans immediately noticed the event's poor management and disorganized sound system. While the hosts did their best to ignore the mishaps and handle the situation professionally, the audience saw that the artists were slowly getting angry over the lack of proper management.
While fans cheered on the hosts for their professionalism, GOT7's BamBam publicly discussed the poor organization and management of the award show. It's rare to see K-pop idols reveal organizational incidents, so fans were shocked to see him posting about it on his X (formerly known as Twitter) account.
The idol allegedly spoke about how he felt that the 33rd Seoul Music Awards used him and other K-pop artists to make money and that the organization failed to create a proper award show that respected the artists who attended and performed at the event. He also stated that the sound system was the worst he had ever encountered in his life, and he would never be interested in attending award ceremonies again.
“They just want to make money from us. I will never go to award shows again.”
However, post X above has been deleted. Regardless, the idol still came out strong by discussing the allegedly bad sound system at the 33rd Seoul Music Awards. In support of his post on the audio system, fellow member Youngjae, who co-hosted the program with him, also reposted the post and commented on the agreed upon post (translated by @sevendless).
“That's something I agree with, Bambam hyung.”
After BamBam
While many were initially shocked to see him revealing the organization of the award show, the reactions soon turned into fans encouraging his opinion and praising him for being honest about the same. In addition to supporting him in his confession, fans also consulted him and encouraged him by saying that he did a great job as a presenter and professionally handled the situation despite the many things that disrupted the award show.
