Rounds of rain will affect us over the next few days, and the weather is expected to be more active tonight, Friday and Monday. Rain tonight may be heavy at times, especially between 9pm and midnight. Rain is expected to fall early Wednesday morning around 3-5 a.m. Heavy rain is expected Friday with a chance of 1-3 inches. This will increase the threat of street flooding. We are already at a low risk of heavy rain that could lead to some flooding on Friday. We get a break from the rain for most of Saturday and Sunday, which is good news for any college football national championship events taking place. Monday is a different story though with a huge system that could bring heavy rain and some strong to severe storms. At least the College Football Playoff National Championship game will be played at NRG Stadium where there is a roof. Overall, temperatures remain cool through Saturday but rise Sunday and Monday before Monday's round of storms.
