BLACKPINK member and rapper Jennie has confirmed that she will be releasing her first full-length solo album in 2024. The announcement sent her fans into a meltdown online. However, she deliberately formed a company named “OA” because she desired greater independence and comfort in her personal activities.

Lee Hyori specifically inquired about the possibility of OA eventually forming artists other than Jennie. The BLACKPINK star laughed and said that it was fun to imagine something like this while starting a company, even though she had never dreamed of something like this.

For the record, BLACKPINK star Jennie launched her independent label ODD ATELIER (OA) on December 24, 2023, which marked her official separation from YG Entertainment.
Earlier, YG Entertainment announced that four BLACKPINK members, Jennie, Jisoo, Rosé, and Lisa, had renewed their agreements to continue promoting the group as a group with YG Entertainment. Otherwise, the company confirmed that the four members have decided to sign elsewhere for solo act.
