New York City firefighters responded to reports of explosions and ground shaking in the 580 block of Main Street, south of the Roosevelt Island Bridge and Tram, just before 6 a.m.
The explosions caused a power outage on Roosevelt Island, ABC7 reported.
Roosevelt Island is located in the East River of New York City, within the borough of Manhattan. It is located between Manhattan Island to the west, and Queens on Long Island to the east.
