Emergency services are racing against time to rescue all passengers and crew from the plane, which later caught fire, at Tokyo's Haneda Airport.
Japanese authorities are investigating how a Japan Airlines passenger plane collided with a Coast Guard plane while landing. The Coast Guard plane was scheduled to deliver aid to areas of Japan affected by the earthquake that struck on New Year's Day.
Following the collision, dramatic CCTV footage showed the Airbus A350 in flames as it moved quickly down the runway.
