Muncie, Inc. – The Kent State men’s basketball team (22-5, 12-2 MC) travels to Indiana to take on the Ball State Cardinals (19-8, 10-4 MC). This will be the second meeting between the two teams this season. In their first game, the Flashes defeated the Cardinals 86-65 inside the MAC Center. The Flashes are on the road after hitting their 20th straight home win, which puts them second in the Nation. With a 12-2 MAC record, the Flash sit at the top of the conference. The Flashes haven’t had 22 wins in a season since the 2018-19 season when the team went 22-11.

Thomas averaged 11.3 points and 4.9 rebounds per game during the 2021-22 season and scored 55 three-pointers at Ball State. Going into Tuesday’s game, Thomas scored 60 points from behind the arc, averaging 11.0 points per game, and a team-high 5.3 rebounds per game.

Ball State (19-8, 10-4 MAC) is looking to redeem itself from its recent loss against Western Michigan 78-68. The Cardinals won the majority of their home games posting an 11-1 record inside Worthen Arena.
The Cardinals are fourth in the MAC and have earned a spot in the MAC Tournament. The Cardinals are led by Offensive Leader Yaron Coleman who leads the Cardinals with 14.9 points, 3.7 assists and 1.4 steals per game. Payton Sparks is another Cardinal who has been a big part of his success leading the team with 8.5 rebounds per game which is fourth in the MAC.
The Cardinals average 80.3 points and have a scoring margin of +11.8. At home, the Cardinals shoot 48.7 percent from the field and average 5.9 steals per game.
